NFF works nationally and our staff is located across five offices in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
NFF’s Financial Services team is seeking a Senior Lending Officer to play a central role in the growth and expansion of NFF’s financing business. The Senior Lending Officer has primary responsibility for managing the due diligence, underwriting, and structuring of financing products and portfolios in the West Coast region. S/he will develop and maintain high-quality underwriting ensuring that NFF remains a leading underwriter for investment opportunities across sectors, industries and geographies. Primary responsibilities include working with borrowers through all stages of the financing process, from assisting with applications, assessing the viability of borrowers, conducting financial analyses, underwriting loans, preparing documents for loan approval, and presenting proposals to loan committees. The Senior Lending Officer will partner internally to support meeting budgeted lending goals, and will contribute to lending process improvements. S/he will maintain knowledge of key markets within the region and nationally to support and inform the underwriting process and the development of new products.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in or commitment to supporting low-income communities and/or the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate is also a strong communicator and relationship builder with the ability to forge deep community relationships while setting realistic expectations and moving financial projects forward.
The Senior Lending Officer will report to the Vice President, Underwriting. This position is based in NFF’s San Francisco or Los Angeles office.
